StrongMind was initially incorporated in December of 2000 as the “Institute for Educational Development”

2009

Changed our name to FlipSwitch as we provided management and support for charter schools.

2015

Landed on StrongMind as we became a digital courseware provider.

StrongMind launched with a mission to deliver engaging, research-backed digital curriculum, originally developed for Arizona’s largest online school.

2016-2017

Earns multiple awards, including five Regional Emmy Awards and the EdTech Cool Tool Award, proving that online learning can be both rigorous and engaging.

2018-2019

Expands curriculum to homeschool and independent learners; enhances its LMS for a more student-friendly experience.

2020-2021

Supports thousands of families transitioning to remote learning and strengthens personalized learning with adaptive content and flexible tools.

2022-2023

Introduces parent-friendly features and expands partnerships with homeschool networks, making quality online education more accessible.

2024

Launched StrongMind Central (SMC), an all-in-one K-12 virtual learning platform designed to simplify online education and boost student engagement.

July 2025

Officially launching a dedicated homeschool platform with flexible curriculum, easy progress tracking, interactive content, and family support resources.
